My Story of Feng Shui

Seven years ago, I asked the woman at my favorite bookstore for something totally new. She gave me my first book on Feng Shui. After reading it, I thought it interesting and put it away for a year. The second time I read it, I thought I would give it a try. I began with my prosperity corner. I purchased a fountain, some green candles and bought a large amethyst. Months later I unexpectedly came into $9,000.00, and I was thrilled. Being a single mother of three, I decided to try it on my relationship corner. I cleaned out the mold and dust, threw away the broken mirror and got rid of the lonely women pictures surrounding my bed. I went to the craft shop and bought a picture called The Accolade, red candles, a heart crystal and a book entitled Enchanted Love.

In the months following I lit the candles and read the book. That year I found myself. I also learned to date and have a relationship with the most fun person I knew… myself! Eight months later I met a man at an event I would normally go alone to and we have been together ever since. Three months after seeing each other I went to his home to discover that he had also bought The Accolade , at approximately the same time. We are now married and his picture( much larger then mine) is in our bedroom. My Accolade now hangs in the relationship corner of my office, as a constant reminder that when you set your intentions, the universe steps in and gives you what your heart truly desires.

What is Feng Shui?

Feng Shui (pronounced “fung shway”) - meaning wind and water - is an ancient Chinese healing art. It is the art of placement and design, facilitating balance of energy (chi) in any given space. Feng Shui is the study of how to arrange your outer world to enhance your inner world, observing the relationship between the seen and unseen forces. A change in your outer world is a direct reflection of a change in your inner world. Remember, all thoughts are things (energy called ch’i) your intentions are like prayers guiding the universe to help you initiate positive change.
