About
Me
Dena Marie
has accumulated a valuable set of experiences as a personal fitness
trainer, hypnotherapist, spiritual counselor, Reiki Master, Ordained
Minister and
a mother of three.
As a personal trainer for more than fourteen years, her
successful career focused on tackling issues such as weight gain, low
self-esteem, and motivating others through the medium of physical
exercise. However, her
experiences gradually revealed that these issues, and many others, arose
not from inadequate physical conditioning, but unhealthy mental and
emotional states. This
observation led Dena Marie to move from simply training the physical body to
also
nurturing a healthy mind and spirit.
As a certified spiritual counselor,
licensed hypnotherapist, ordained minister and Reiki Master, Dena Marie takes a client-centered approach to her
therapy, using her intuition to reveal new directions and ideas.
As in personal training, every client’s therapy is unique,
tailored to their needs and perceptions of their own inner world.
Dena Marie uses this philosophy, combined with an intuitive approach to
healing, to usher her clients to the destination they seek. Spiritual
communication plays a major role in her diverse range of counseling
techniques; her Crystal Readings, Light Touch Reiki Treatments, Coupling
Therapy and
Chakra Prescriptions draw high acclaim from her clients. With the
help of the Angels she maintains a lighthearted and loving approach to
holistic healing.
Her
full and diverse life experiences as well as her three children have
given Dena Marie not only the insight that moulds any effective counselor but
also the empathy that generates a caring ear as well. As the world moves
toward healing the pain instead of masking it, Dena Marie envisions herself
evolving with new information and empowering others to do the same.

Volunteer devotes
herself to helping young people
By
Yoshiaki Nohara Herald Writer
SNOHOMISH -- Dena Marie
says she is "a volunteer-holic."
Marie of Everett has volunteered at the Snohomish Visitor Information
Center on First Street for about two years. That let Marie, a downtown
business owner, meet many people in the community, from students to
senior citizens.
On Fridays, she meets with high school students to help them deal with
their emotional issues. This summer, she plans to organize classes that
teach teens art skills.
Her passion is to help children, Marie, 44, said.
"It's investing in the future," she said. "They are the future."
Marie also works part time as the director of Historic Downtown
Snohomish, a group that represents the city's historic downtown. Still,
she manages to find time to volunteer.
"Every time I volunteer, I meet good people," she said. "They are the
people you want to be friends with."
Marie said she discovered the joy of volunteering over the last several
years. There was a time she was too busy to find any spare time. She
used to hold two jobs and raise her three children as a single mother.
She didn't have a good role model when she was little, Marie said.
That's why she wants to reach out to teens and make a difference in
their lives.
"I want them to be spontaneous, have fun and enjoy life," she said.
Kelly Hogan, 15, has known Marie for about a year. The Snohomish High
School student said Marie has encouraged her to be involved in the
community. As she attended community events, Kelly said her self-esteem
has soared.
"I used to be sad all the time," Kelly said. "She helped me open my eyes
about great things."
Justin Johnson, 15, met Marie through Kelly. Justin said he found Marie
more approachable than other adults. He can confide to her whenever he
has problems.
"She has a great personality," Justin said. "She is fun to be around.
She actually makes life enjoyable."
On Tuesday, Justin, Kelly and Marie attended a peace rally at the corner
of Fourth Street and Avenue D in Snohomish, along with about 20 people.
They held signs that they made, drawing attention from passers-by.
"Only with love will there truly be peace," one sign read.
"Nobody wins a war," another read.
"Live peace."
"Let's work together."
The rally didn't aim to make teens political, but to help them focus on
the positive, Marie said. Children need to be encouraged to do good
things and maximize their potential.
"You always want to tell kids how awesome they are," she said

Transformation
Light does not conquer darkness by pushing the darkness
out of the way. Rather, the light comes into the
darkness and transforms it with brilliant, positive
energy.
In the same way, the obstacles in life are not conquered
by fighting them on their own terms or attempting to
push them out of the way. The best way to move past a
difficult situation is to transform it with positive,
productive energy.
No matter how much you push against the darkness it will
not go anywhere. Yet the moment you shine your light,
the darkness is no more. When you fight against your
problems, all it usually accomplishes is to make them
stronger and give them more validity. That's certainly
not what you would ever intend.
Instead, seek to transform those problems, those
difficult situations, by virtue of your own positive
values and efforts. Focusing on what you're working
toward is far better than being obsessed with whatever
you think you're against.
Rather than struggling against the situation, give the
best you have to it. Rather than fighting darkness with
more darkness, transform that darkness by letting your
light shine.

A
Few Kind Words From Clients
I experienced a
true miracle working with Dena Marie. After suffering for several years
with
sciatica and
lower back pain, I decided to try an alternative approach. I
have been through physical therapy, chiropractic, had cortizone shots,
and I have tried many different pain medicines, topicals and anti-inflammatories
with little or no relief. I am pregnant so not only was it getting worse
from the extra weight and strain, I did not want to take the pain
medicine for fear of farming my baby. I had a fairly quick Reiki
treatment with Dena Marie, and it was done in a public place so I wasn't
sure how things would turn out. To my surprise and relief, that day my
pain was significantly less, and after about three days of practicing
the advice she gave me based on my crystal reading, the pain completely
went away! I can not even make the pain happen again if I try. It's very
strange, and so I think this is a true miracle.

"You helped me to realize that I’m actually
the one in control of my life and taught me how to take the reigns to
steer it in the direction I wanted it to go. The insight you offer is
unparalleled." ~ Sierra

Dear
Dena - Thanks for the crystal reading you gave me. I
had always wanted the goal of a successful career as
an artist , but it wasn't until I focused on truly
defining that goal , with your reading . When I
started naming the components of success , I was
able to create more of it for myself. Thanks , Diane

I
truly enjoyed the book "Our Energy Matters-The Art
of Crystal Reading. I am able to easily use this
book to help me in my own personal readings. I met
with Dena for the first time about 4 years ago at
which time I was seeking counsel on some issues
regarding weight. Thinking this would be just a
hypnotherapy session... boy was I in for a surprise
when she sat me down and had me draw stones. Taking
the time to carefully explain what each stone meant
and why I had drawn it. Astounded at all this person
knew from only 7 small stones, she had advice on how
to help myself re-balance my life. I took her little
paper home and did my homework and soon returned to
see what I could do next. After many more sessions
and a lot of wonderful times sitting across the
table from her my soul grew much more than I could
have ever imagined. So I took the class and learned
this wonderful art. I use the knowledge I gained
with my children, in my personal relationships, and
even occasionally in my profession as a Massage
Therapist. The information in this book is very
powerful and insightful. It is truly the key to
learning how to heal yourself.
